I had a great time at the Flux Soup event at the Cinema Museum in London the other night I had the pleasure of performing an improvised duet with my fabulously talented friend Jude Cowan Montague. We were accompanying a film about a duck, by another of my friend, Agnes Hay. Jude managed to provide a rather amusing narrative to the film (she intended to also play he MicroKork keyboard, but it refused to work) and I played my cello.

There was lots of other wonderful music, from Pig7, Prescott and a trio of Illi Adato, Alison Blunt and Moshi Honen, as well as improvised dance from Lavinia Cascone and her Ov London ensemble.

We had a lovely appreciative audience, and it was good to catch up with some old friends I hadn't seen in a while.

Huge thanks to Abigail Tripp and Kev Poulter for organising the event and everyone at the Cinema Museum.

The museum is a wonderful building, which you can get some idea of form these photos by Patrick Beelaert. There's a huge collection of historic cinema memorabelia, all housed in a former Victorian workhouse. It's worth a visit anytime.
